How can I start using SingMyPart.com?

Click on “Register New Account” to send a request to SingMyPart.com to create a webpage for your group.

Email separate mp3 files of your learning tracks. Send one mp3 file for lead only, one file for tenor only, etc. If you have your tracks made by a learning track creator they should have these available. If you create your own learning tracks, use a computer based software like Audacity and render an mp3 file of each part separately.

How can I create learning tracks to use on SingMyPart.com?

Any software that creates mp3 files can be used, but Audacity is free and easy to learn. Be aware that the accuracy, synchronization, singing quality, and sound quality of your online player will only be as good as the mp3 files you send. For best results you might consider a professional learning track creator to record your tracks.

When I refresh the page, the player will not play.

If you are using Internet Explorer 8, you will need to close your browser and open a new browser to refresh the player.

This is not a problem in Firefox. If you use Firefox, you can refresh the page and the player will play again.

Can I put the SingMyPart Player on my own website?

You may post a link on your personal website which links to your group's web page located at www.singmypart.com.

What about Music Use Licenses?

SingMyPart.com is licensed by ASCAP New Media to use any songs in the ASCAP repertory for performance on the SingMyPart.com website.

Please note that if you request mp3 copies of your songs, any copies you make in mp3 or CD format are not covered by this license.

You are responsible for all mechanical fees for any copies you make in any format. The license issued to SingMyPart.com only covers listening online, from the website.

What is the difference between the SingMyPart.com player and SingMyPart.com learning tracks?
